In Donovaly (central parking lot near the main road from Banská Bystrica and Ružomberok) on Saturday 26.07.2025 from 10:00 to 18:00
Non-participation notification – runner replacement:
Paid entry fee is non-refundable. In case of non-participation announced by 30.06.2025, the participant can transfer the entry fee to the next edition of the event. If a participant announces non-participation for medical reasons and provides a doctor’s certificate between 01.07.2025 and 25.07.2025, the entry fee can also be transferred to the next edition.
If you cannot participate and want to transfer your start number to another participant, you may do so by sending an email to registracia@becool.sk no later than 30.06.2025. The person originally registered must contact us and provide the data of the new participant. The start package is collected and the declaration confirmed by the new participant. After collecting the start package, re-registration is no longer possible.
Re-registration from 01.07.2025 until the beginning of start package pickup is subject to a 5€ fee, payable upon pickup or by bank transfer. The start number is non-transferable. If the organizer finds that a different runner than the one listed in the registration system ran with the start number, the participant will be disqualified.
Insurance:
All participants are required to secure individual health insurance (standard general health insurance covered by any insurance company is sufficient!). The organizer does not accept responsibility for damage to property or health related to travel, stay, or participation in the event. Each participant competes at their own risk and is responsible for their physical condition at the start and throughout the event. The organizer will provide medical and emergency services during the event.
Each participant must check the listed health insurance provider during registration (this also applies when picking up the start package for another participant).
Foreign participants must present a photocopy of a health insurance card valid for this event. Without presenting this confirmation, the participant will not receive their start package, even if the entry fee has been paid.
The online registration form includes an option to enter your health information. These details will be used only in case of medical complications and treatment by the event’s medical and rescue team.
If you are interested, please provide current medical issues, conditions, allergies, an emergency contact, or any other important information that could help in the event of medical assistance being needed during or after the race. If any changes occur between registration and event check-in, please inform the organizers at the presentation.
Before the start, we recommend that all runners undergo a medical check-up.
Timing:
Timing will be provided by VOS-TPK using chip technology. The chip is integrated into the start number and will be given out during check-in along with the bib. The chip does not need to be returned after the race — it remains yours as a keepsake along with your start number.
Results:
The results will be published immediately after the race on sportsofttiming.sk, and subsequently on bratislavamarathon.sk.
Runners will be ranked based on official time (from the starting shot to crossing the finish line). The results list will also include the net (unofficial) time for informational purposes.
Rules:
The race is governed by the rules of WA (World Athletics) and the provisions of these regulations. A runner may leave the road only with the permission and under the supervision of a referee, provided it does not shorten the race distance.
Runners who accept refreshments outside of official stations may be disqualified.
Runners must immediately withdraw from the race if ordered by the event’s chief medical officer.
Any pacing (including by bicycle) or external assistance from others during the race is considered unauthorized aid, except in the case of necessary medical intervention by designated medical staff.
The use of headphones during the race is prohibited and may lead to disqualification. This is primarily for the safety of runners and spectators, and to ensure that participants can hear organizational instructions, vehicle and motorcycle movement, and any emergencies. Moreover, wearing headphones can reduce your experience of the atmosphere created by fellow runners, spectators, and the accompanying program.
Protests:
Protests must be submitted verbally to the head referee no later than 30 minutes after results are published.
An appeal against the head referee’s decision, accompanied by a deposit of €10, must be submitted in writing to the jury within 30 minutes of the official decision announcement.
Prizes:
The top 3 women and men in the overall ranking and in age categories for both the 5 km and 10 km distances will receive material prizes.
Material prizes will also be awarded to the top 3 women and men in the Nordic walking category (overall ranking).
Changing rooms and cloakroom:
Changing and storage areas for personal belongings will be available near the start/finish line in the technical zone.
Toilets:
Mobile toilets will be located near the start and finish area in the technical zone.
Medical service:
Emergency medical services will be available at the start/finish area and along the course.
Important notice:
Due to the nature of the run (held in the evening under artificial lighting), we ask participants to exercise increased caution and consider using their own reflective accessories. Headlamps are especially recommended for the 10 km run.
The organizer, BE COOL, s.r.o., reserves the right to adjust or specify the information provided in these regulations or organizational instructions depending on circumstances.
BE COOL, s.r.o. also reserves the right to cancel or interrupt the event or any of its disciplines in the case of serious danger, especially due to war, epidemic spread, adverse weather, threat of terrorism or other attacks endangering participants’ safety, or other unforeseeable force majeure events.
In such cases, the participant is not entitled to a refund of the entry fee or any part of it, as the organizer has already incurred costs related to event preparation before the cancellation or interruption.
However, the organizer may, after evaluating all circumstances and calculating incurred costs, provide partial compensation of the entry fee to the participant.
