Marathon and Half Marathon Course:
City circuit (municipal districts Staré Mesto, Ružinov and Petržalka) on a paved surface track (asphalt, concrete, paving stones), without significant elevation changes. Marathon runners will complete two laps. The course has a valid international AIMS certificate.
For warm-up and stretching before the start on Saturday (11.04.2026) and Sunday (12.04.2026), use the promenade on the embankment in Eurovea.
Registration for the event and the time for presentation (collection of start packages) at the event are specified separately for each discipline. Please pay sufficient attention to thoroughly studying the instructions for your chosen discipline.
Bulk collection of start packages (10 or more) will be possible before the event at EUROVEA Bratislava (the exact time will be confirmed). If you are interested in collecting 10 or more start packages, please send a list of runners to registracia@becool.sk by 01.04.2026 (conditions may be specified further).
Before you arrive at the presentation, please check if you have received your “check in pass” or registration in your profile in Haku. In case of ambiguities, contact registracia@becool.sk and present your „Confirmation of registration from HAKU“ at the collection of the start package (presentation), which you will receive via email after payment.
For a relay team, it is sufficient for one member of the relay to come for the presentation. The team captain registers the relay and pays the entry fee. Subsequently, they must invite other participants in their profile, who will create their own registrations. The captain manages these participants in their profile.
Participants in the crawlers' race do not need to present; it is enough to arrive with the registered child at the start on Saturday morning according to the instructions.
Start Restriction:
A runner can only start in one discipline on Sunday 12.04.2026 (marathon, half marathon, or relay run), i.e., they cannot start in an individual discipline and simultaneously be a member of a team in a relay run.
Participation Limit:
The main organizer will determine participation limits for individual runs, and is authorized to terminate registration ad hoc at their own discretion, depending on the overall development of the number of registered participants and circumstances related to the organization of the event, especially with regard to the throughput of the course, capacity and logistical possibilities of the event, and the current epidemiological situation.
Registration:
online via bratislavamarathon.sk / bratislavamarathon.com
Registration for any of the event disciplines, either before its start or during the event, is only possible by filling out the online registration form. The participant is fully responsible for the correctness and truthfulness of the completed data, including the acceptance/non-acceptance of consents and declarations within the registration form, and acknowledges the resulting consequences. The participant, by their participation in the event, confirms and verifies the truthfulness of the data provided in the registration form.
If you are interested in receiving an SMS with your achieved result after crossing the finish line, or if you would like your photos from the event to be sent to your email after the event, you must correctly fill in your mobile phone number and email address!!!
If you are interested in presenting your running story, motivation, running goals and plans, or something interesting from your preparation or running surroundings, please write it in the notes in the registration form or write to brona@becool.sk.
Entry Fee Payment Options:
The entry fee can be paid by payment card when registering online and using the payment terminal within the registration system, or directly at the event if the participation limit for the given discipline has not been met. For payment issues, contact registracia@becool.sk.
After properly filling out the registration form, the system will offer you the option of payment by payment card. After successful payment of the entry fee, you will be sent a confirmation email about the payment. The participant is considered duly registered and their legal relationship with the organizer and participation in the event is confirmed only upon payment of the entry fee and its crediting to the organizer's account. Only at this moment does the participant fully meet all the requirements set by the event organizer in these propositions.
The amount of the entry fee depends on the date (day) when the payment was made (not the date of registration in the system). For online payment through the registration system, the payment is credited immediately after payment, and you can check your successful registration in your profile in Haku.
Notification of Non-Participation – Health Problems - Runner Change:
- The paid entry fee is non-refundable. In case of notification of non-participation by 28.02.2026, the runner has the option to apply their entry fee to the future year of the event. The runner can postpone the entry fee themselves through their account in the registration system via the button "Registration Options" - "Postpone to the future". If the runner notifies their non-participation due to health reasons and documents it with a medical certificate from the attending physician in the period from 01.03.2026 to 11.04.2026, they also have the option to apply their entry fee to the future year of the event. In this period, it is necessary to contact registracia@becool.sk.
- If a runner cannot participate and wants to transfer their start number to another participant, they can do so no later than 28.02.2026 themselves through their account in the registration system via the button "Registration Options" - "Transfer", where they will fill in the email address and name of the new participant, who will then complete their own details after receiving the email. The new participant collects the start package and confirms the declarations associated with participation in the event.
Reregistration in the period from 01.03.2026 until the day the start packages are issued is subject to a fee of 5,-Eur. In this period, the option for reregistration in the registration system may disappear. If you no longer find it there, please contact registracia@becool.sk. Reregistration on the day of the race is not possible; reregistration is possible no later than the day before the start of the event presentation! After collecting the start package, reregistration is no longer possible.
The start number is non-transferable. If the organizer finds that a runner other than the one listed in the registration system ran with the start number, the runner will be disqualified and banned from participating in events organized by BE COOL, s.r.o. and Bratislavský maratón, o.z.
Insurance:
All participants are obliged to arrange individual health insurance (standard general health insurance covered by one of the insurance companies is sufficient!!!). The organizer does not assume responsibility for damage to property or health related to travel, stay, and participation of competitors in the event. Each participant starts at their own risk and is responsible for their health condition upon starting and participating in the event.
Each participant is obliged to check the stated health insurance company at the presentation (this also applies when collecting the start package for another participant). Foreign participants must present a photocopy of the card confirming health insurance for this event. Without presenting this confirmation, the competitor will not be issued a start package, even if they have paid the entry fee.
On the back of the start number (in the marathon, half marathon, and 10km disciplines), as well as in the online registration form, you have the option, at your own discretion, to fill in health data about yourself that you deem appropriate and consider helpful to the organizer in the event of your possible treatment during the event. The organizer will use this data exclusively in the event of a competitor's health complications and subsequent treatment by the health and rescue service. If you are interested, please supplement the provided data with your current health problem, illness, allergy, contact person, or other important information that may help us if health assistance is provided to you during or after the run. If any change occurred between registration and presentation, please report these facts to the organizers during the presentation.
We recommend that competitors undergo a medical examination before the start.
The entry fee includes:
- start envelope/backpack
- start number with a chip for time measurement;
- the option to include your name, relay name, country flag on the start number (if the participant/relay registers and pays the entry fee by 28.02.2026 and provides their name or relay name in the online form);

- refreshments on the race course in the marathon, half marathon, and 10km disciplines

Photos:
Photo services at the event are provided by the international company “getPica” dedicated to processing and sending photos from sports events. After the event, or after completing your discipline, a database of photos taken by photographers at the event will usually be sent to your email the next day. You will have the option to purchase digital quality photos at discounted prices, and you will be able to choose and purchase 1, 2, or the entire set of your photos. Thanks in part to this paid service, we can cover the race course with a larger number of photographers and use quality AI services for sending photos and identifying you in the crowd of runners. Our goal is to increase the level of service provided and bring you a higher quality product that is meant to be a long-term memory of your dedication, sports performance, and emotions at the event.
Time Measurement and Results:
Time measurement is provided by the timekeeping company VOS-TPK. The organizer will publish the results immediately after the end of the event on the website sportsoft.cz and subsequently on bratislavamarathon.sk. Competitors will be ranked in the results list according to the official time (time from the start of the zone in which the competitor is located before the start to the moment of crossing the finish line – gun time zone). The results list will also include informative data on the achieved net (unofficial) time.
Start Zones:
The start corridor will be divided into time zones for the disciplines marathon, half marathon, ten-kilometer run, and minimarathon. Therefore, in the registration form, do not forget to choose your corridor based on your actual time achieved at an event in 2025, or a time achieved in 2026 at an event with a comparable track length. The start corridor will be divided into several zones, which will ensure a smoother start and the passing of the first kilometers. We strongly ask you to provide your actual achieved times; this is also a way to show respect to your fellow runners. ) The selection of the corridor is mandatory data!!!
Important notice!!! The zones on the start numbers will be listed according to the status of valid registered applications of participants as of 28.02.2026. Participants registered after this deadline will be assigned the last zone, or a zone based on available capacity. In case the capacity in any of your selected zones is filled, the organizer reserves the right to assign the competitor to a zone according to free capacity.
If your declared time for the selected discipline has improved from the moment of registration until the start of the event, and you are interested in being placed in an earlier zone for this reason, you need to report this fact by 28.02.2026 and bring a printed results list with the achieved improved time to the presentation at the event (when collecting the start package), or demonstrate this fact to the organizers at the participant presentation within the results list of the event where you achieved the improved time. Without this document proving your improvement, the zone will not be changed by the organizer. The same rule applies to participants who register after 01.03.2026, who will otherwise be placed in the last zone.
If a participant starts from a zone other than the one assigned to them (an earlier one), they face the possibility of being penalized + 10 minutes by the organizer (referee). The organizer will perform individual checks of the declared times during registration to ensure they correspond to your actual achieved performance. Runners will be contacted by email. This measure aims to create the best possible conditions for runners who respect the rules and instructions of the organizer with regard to their sports performance and thus show respect and honor to other running colleagues.
Relay participants will have a separate zone, which will be located in the middle of the start corridor. If a relay starts from an earlier zone, it will be penalized + 10 minutes by the organizer (referee). The preliminary proposal for start zoning is as follows, but it may be changed depending on the participant limits within the start of individual waves:
| ELITE | -MARATHON < 3:15 h -HALF MARATHON < 1:45 h -M-SR in Half Marathon MV SR and PZ | MARATHON 3:15:01 – 3:45 h HALF MARATHON 1:45:01 – 1:55 h | MARATHON 3:45:01 – 4:15 h HALF MARATHON 1:55:01 – 2:05 h RELAYS | MARATHON 4:15:01 – 5:00 h HALF MARATHON > 2:05:01 |
| MINI MARATHON < 28:00 10 KM < 54:00 | MINI MARATHON > 28:00 10 KM 54:01 - 60:00 | SENIOR RUN & WALK NORDIC WALKING 10 KM > 60:01 |

Refreshments Marathon and Half Marathon (12.04.2026)
- Refreshment stations will be located approximately every 5 kilometers (5-10-15-20-25-30-35-40).
At the refreshment stations, personal refreshments will be placed on the first tables, and on the subsequent tables, drinks in cups or bottles will be available in the order of water, isotonic drink, followed by refreshments (bananas, chocolate, lemons, grape sugar, salt, etc.), and buckets with water and sponges.
A competitor who takes refreshments outside the refreshment stations is exposed to the danger of being disqualified (WA rules – rule 55.8.8.).
- Water stations will be located between the refreshment stations at approximately 2.5 – 7.5 – 12.5 – 17.5 – 22.5 – 27.5 – 32.5 – 37.5 km.
At the water stations, cups of water and buckets with water and sponges will be placed.
- Personal refreshments in unbreakable containers, with clear labeling of the start number and the kilometer of the respective refreshment station, must be handed over on Sunday (12.04.2026) no later than 07:30 hrs at the runners' presentation point in the marked area.
Refreshments Ten-Kilometer Run (11.04.2026)
A water station with water will be located on the course at approximately 5 km.
We ask you to dispose of empty cups, bottles, gel wrappers, and sponges in the designated, marked collection zones and in the waste bins placed behind the refreshment stations so that empty cups and bottles do not endanger runners running in the crowd behind you and do not pollute the area around the course. Mobile toilets will also be located at the end of each refreshment station.
After crossing the finish line, please do not stop in the finish corridor under the finish arch, but continue slowly through the finish corridor. Cooling down with gentle movement will help you breathe properly again and improve your blood circulation. If you do not feel well after reaching the finish line, please use the assistance of the health service at the finish.
Rules:
The race is held according to the rules of WA athletic competitions and the provisions of these propositions. A competitor may leave the road with permission and under the supervision of a referee, provided that they do not shorten the race distance. A competitor who takes refreshments outside the refreshment stations is exposed to the danger of being excluded from the race. A competitor must immediately withdraw from the race at the command of the event's chief doctor.
Any accompaniment (including bicycle escort), or any assistance to the competitor during the competition by other persons, with the exception of necessary medical intervention by a doctor/medics appointed by the event's organizing committee, is considered unauthorized assistance.
Sweep buses will follow the last runners, ensuring the transport of runners who do not meet the time limit from the course to the finish. Runners who end the run for other reasons will wait for the sweep bus or transport themselves to the finish.
It is strictly forbidden according to WA rules to use headphones during the run. The competitor is exposed to the possibility of being disqualified by the referee. Using headphones during the run is particularly dangerous with regard to the safety of runners and spectators, possible organizational guidelines, interventions, and instructions from organizers on the course during the run, the need to react to the movement of accompanying vehicles, motorcycles, and bicycles of the organizer, police, health and rescue service, and last but not least, you deprive yourself of the atmosphere created by runners, spectators, and the accompanying program prepared for you.
Protests:
Protests must be submitted orally to the chief referee no later than 30 minutes after the publication of the results. An appeal against the chief referee's decision, accompanied by a deposit of €10, must be submitted in writing to the jury within 30 minutes after the official announcement of the chief referee's decision.
Special categories evaluated outside the official event results:
Special Awards
Fastest Newcomer in the Marathon, Half Marathon, and Ten-Kilometer Run
Runners who run the marathon, half marathon, or ten-kilometer run for the first time and check the "newcomer" box during registration will be included in a separate ranking, in which we will evaluate and reward (with material prizes) the first three men and the first three women after the event.
This is a supplementary competition, the goal of which is to award runners who are running the given discipline for the first time at an official running event, which means that they have not yet participated in any official running event with the stated course length (it does not mean that they are participating in the ČSOB Bratislava Marathon for the first time!!!).
Fastest Bratislava Resident (Male), Bratislava Resident (Female)
In the marathon, half marathon, ten-kilometer run, and minimarathon disciplines, we will evaluate and reward (with material prizes) the first three men and the first three women who state Bratislava as their place of residence in the registration form after the event.
Joint Provisions:
The organizer BE COOL, s.r.o. reserves the right to modify and further specify some data provided in these propositions, or organizational instructions, depending on the circumstances. The organizer BE COOL, s.r.o. also reserves the right to cancel or interrupt the event or any of its disciplines in case of serious danger, especially war, adverse weather, the spread of an epidemic and associated possible threat to the health of participants and spectators, the danger of terror or other attack threatening the safety of event participants, or for other unforeseen force majeure events and circumstances.
In such a case, the runner does not have the right to a refund of the entry fee, or part thereof, as the organizer has already incurred costs for the preparation of the event at the time before the moment of interruption/cancellation of the event itself. However, the organizer may, after considering all circumstances and calculating the costs associated with the preparation of the event, compensate the runner for part of the entry fee.
Contact: BE COOL, s.r.o., Krajinská 37, 821 06 Bratislava, Slovak Republic.
The information contained in these propositions was created on 13.10.2025 based on the evaluation of the current epidemiological situation and current measures enabling the organization of mass events in the following months, as well as on the basis of experience gained by the organizer during the previous period during the duration of the pandemic when organizing sports and cultural events.
The organizer reserves the right to adjust some participation limits and other conditions for participation in the event, or to specify them further (e.g., proof of vaccination, negative test, etc.) even "ad hoc" depending on the current epidemiological situation in Slovakia, as it will be evaluated in connection with the event date and how the rules for protecting the health of people (participants and spectators) will be set by the relevant authorities at that moment.
If necessary, the organizer will publish a manual and rules of participation and conduct at the event for runners, the organizational team, and spectators in accordance with the relevant epidemiological and hygiene rules before the event.
We look forward to seeing you and thank you for your support!!!
