On April 11th and 12th, 2026, the capital city will host the 21st edition of the largest running event in Slovakia – the ČSOB Bratislava Marathon. The highlight of the event will be Sunday’s marathon, with approximately 10,000 participants from nearly 100 countries expected to attend. To ensure their safety, temporary restrictions on both private and public transport will be necessary, particularly in the boroughs of Staré Mesto (Old Town), Ružinov, and Petržalka.
General Traffic Information (Sunday, April 12th)
The main traffic restrictions will take place on Sunday between 08:30 AM and 02:00 PM. The race is scheduled to start at 09:00 AM from Pribinova Street. Traffic at all affected intersections and road exits will be managed operationally by police officers, and the duration of closures will be adjusted according to the actual movement of the runners.
A specific traffic regime will apply to Ružinovská Street, where the race will run in both directions in the section from the Miletičova intersection to the tram turning loop. During the second lap, only one (the inner) lane will be used for runners from the Ružinovská/Tomášikova intersection to the turning loop. Transverse crossings will be released by police based on the flow of participants.
Access to Eurovea and Parking
If you plan to visit the Eurovea zone, we recommend arriving by car no later than 08:00 AM on Sunday. After this time, traffic in the area will be gradually regulated. For access, we recommend using Landererova Street from the direction of the Apollo Bridge.
