INFORMATION ABOUT TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS IN EUROVEA AND SURROUNDINGS
In connection with the 13th annual dm Women’s Run and accompanying activities
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, 2025
On Friday, preparatory works will take place during the day on Pribinova Street in front of the Eurovea buildings, as well as in the area near the passenger port next to Apollo Bridge. These works involve the installation of portable barriers and the start/finish arches.
The restrictions will be temporary, and traffic will be regulated by event organizers to ensure access to Eurovea from Krupkova Street and Prístavná Street.
From 00:00 to 11:00, the finish arch will be assembled on Pribinova Street near Eurovea. During this time, the passage towards the Sheraton Hotel will be closed. Entry to the “Centrum” garages will remain open. Drivers will also be informed about this restriction via traffic information boards installed at “Umelka” and at the entry from Krupkova Street.
The start arch will be assembled on Pribinova Street near the port later in the day. After completion, vehicles up to 3.5 m in height will be allowed to pass.
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 2025
All participants of the dm Women’s Run and spectators who plan to arrive at Eurovea by car are advised to come well in advance – at least 1.5 hours before your race start time. Around 10,000 runners are expected at the start of the various races, along with their supporters, which will put significant pressure on parking capacity in and around Eurovea.
- In the morning, use all underground parking garages in Eurovea (all 3 entries/exits – Centrum / Ružinov / Prístav are open).
- Alternatively, you can park in surrounding areas, e.g., Tyršovo nábrežie.
- We strongly recommend using public transportation to reach Eurovea.
From 09:00 – 12:15 and 15:00 – 17:30, entry to the “Centrum” underground garage will be closed. Use the “Ružinov” or “Prístav” entry instead.
During these times, Pribinova Street will also be closed to vehicle traffic between Šafárikovo námestie (Umelka) and the Sheraton Hotel – this will serve as the finish corridor.
From 17:30 – 22:00, the finish arch will be dismantled on Pribinova Street near Eurovea. During this time, passage towards the Sheraton Hotel will again be closed. Entry to the “Centrum” garages will remain open.
Exiting from all underground garages (Centrum / Ružinov / Prístav) will be possible without restrictions all day, including during the races.
⚠️ Due to the increased movement of pedestrians and spectators between 09:00 and 18:00, we strongly request drivers to exercise extra caution and follow the instructions of organizers and police.
TRAFFIC ORGANIZATION CHANGES DURING THE EVENT
Traffic restrictions will affect:
- Sections of Pribinova and Prístavná Street
- The area around Tyršovo nábrežie in Petržalka
- From 08:30 – 17:30, traffic on Prístavná Street towards the Prístavný Bridge will be regulated with temporary traffic signs and redirected to the opposite lane. Traffic from the bridge to the Prístavná/Košická intersection will run in a single lane with reduced speed.
- Police officers and organizers will coordinate traffic on the affected section.
- Bus line 87 will run without changes. Other lines will be allowed through Prístavná Street between race starts.
- From 08:30 – 17:30, part of Pribinova Street between Apollo Bridge and the Pribinova/Prístavná intersection will be closed to traffic.
From 15:15 – 17:00, the women’s running peloton will also pass through Tyršovo nábrežie and along the cycling route on Viedenská cesta, between “Au café” and “Tyršák”. Individual traffic on Viedenská cesta will not be restricted, but drivers are requested to exercise extra caution. During this time, entry and exit from the parking lot at Tyršák will be stopped.
